Voluntary Work Experiences with AZ@K

As part of the Summer Program, every Thursday young people had the opportunity to learn more about the value of altruism through voluntary work. Young people got to know each other through team building challnges and had the space to brainstorm voluntary work ideas. They wished to work with kids and do a clean up activity.

On the 2nd of August, AŻ@K collaborated with Birgu Primary School and organised games of kids. 25 young people that attended the Voluntary program, organised the games and led them as well by themselves. It was a unique experience to everyone.

On the 16th of August, 17 young people gladly dedicated their morning cleaning up 3 areas within Birgu. Since the majority of them are residents of Birgu, after the clean up they felt a great feeling of satisfaction. The environment is taken for granted by many and it was nice to see young people taking concrete positive action to make a change.
